I will tell you a story. I walk into a store in Milan 2 days ago. Security is clearly following me around. I am listening to music on my iPad. All the Italians stare at me in the store continuously. Especially this one group of girls, I think nothing of it. Get a bunch of clothes and pay. When I walk out I say goodbye and smile at the security guard (they are all black in Milan, it’s a class thing) I was at a club last night and a girl keeps looking at me, she walks up to me and says “I remember you, you are the guy from the store the other day, I told my friends I have never seen such a stylish black guy when I saw you” I laughed and told her where I am from and my plans in Milan. They are not just used to a black man who isn’t begging them for money. Just raise your head high and they respect you. If they don’t, well ignorance is bliss. They cant help it, it pisses me off but honestly I am above it.
